In 2022, he returned to New York to launch The Travel Agency, now the state’s top-performing cannabis retail brand, with four Manhattan locations. Vautrin later joined RIV Capital as Chief Retail Officer and Interim CEO, where he led the rollout of adult-use dispensaries and supported the company’s 2024 merger with Cansortium. Today, as Chief Commercial Officer at Cansortium, he oversees retail operations enterprise -wide under the FLUENT banner, managing over 375 employees while leading training and supporting marketing efforts. A recognized leader in New York’s cannabis space, Vautrin regularly speaks at industry events and will serve as an adjunct professor at LIM College in fall 2025. Prior to his work in cannabis, he held senior roles in top CPG companies, served on multiple boards, and chaired a nonprofit organization.

I have worked as a cannabis technician in the Barcelona City Drug Table and in developing the Barcelona Drug Action Plan 2017-2020. Patricia advocated for the social club model for users as a safe access model and harm reduction strategy in the Catalan Parliament during the legislative process of the ILP LAW 13/2017, of July 6, on cannabis consumer associations.

    Through life's twists and turns, and after more than 20 years of interaction with the cannabis plant in all its forms, I discovered the more therapeutic side of cannabis. It was 2012, and suddenly I began exploring therapeutic cannabis. Graduated as a Laboratory and Quality Control Technician. I completed my internship at Energy Control, a laboratory focused on the analysis and support of consumption and substances. Substances are not what they are, but what is done with them. In 2022, I began collaborating with Allora Labs, a lab specialized in cannabis, terpens and effects. Beside testing and research, I focused in trainings on the uses of cannabis, focusing on the composition of cannabis and the personal experiences of users. In 2023, I began collaborating with the Department of Health (Generalitat de Catalunya) educational programs on the composition and uses of cannabis. In 2024, I joined the RdR Lab team, a project focused on Risk Reduction and public policies based on substance use and addiction management applied to cannabis. In the new European regulatory landscape, I'm collaborating on projects for the standardization of cannabis extracts to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical market (Malta, Germany, Morocco, etc.), while also continuing my work with Allora Labs.
